We’re looking for an experienced Sound and Lighting Technician to oversee Eat Street Northshore’s live music and artist performance – each weekend.
The Role
Working with our Entertainment Manager and Venue Manager, you’ll have ownership of our Main and supporting stages, coordinating what is the heart and soul of our high-energy venue and its many incredibly talented artists each evening. making sure every mic, cable, and speaker is in the right place at the right time.
This gig is all about being hands-on—helping with equipment setup and pack-down, running cables like a pro, keeping things tight on a fast-moving run sheet, and ensuring every performance sounds crisp, clear, and crowd-ready.
You’ll also play a key role in creating the overall atmosphere of the event, assisting with staging, lighting setups, and ambient production elements that help transform the space and bring the experience to life.
If you’ve got a background (or keen interest) in audio/visual, know your way around a sound desk, and love being part of the action—this one’s got your name on it.
What You’ll Be Doing

Assisting with setup and teardown of sound and AV gear across four stages

Helping run the show to schedule as a stagehand on event nights

Running cables, placing mics, and securing gear—efficiently and safely

Supporting the Sound Engineer with monitoring and adjusting sound levels

Troubleshooting on the fly to keep things running smoothly

Maintaining gear with care and packing it down like a pro
What You’ll Need

Solid knowledge of audio/vision gear setup and pack-down

Understanding of basic sound mixing and AV principles

Physical ability to lift, move, and place equipment as per stage plots

A tidy, organised approach to gear maintenance and storage

Clear, friendly communication (you’ll be working with performers and crew!)

Availability Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings
