About the role:

The role sees you supporting and facilitating the week-week accounts for our busy South East Queensland Markets and Events.

You would be responsible for a range of daily/weekly tasks including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, rent-roll, and general office administration.

This role will appeal to an experienced Accounts administrator (minimum 3 years in a busy or similar role) who is looking to further their career in a well-established and rapidly growing business.

This role reports directly to the Financial Controller and General Manager.

Additional Responsibilities include:

  • Full end to end Accounts Payable
  • Full end to end Accounts Receivable
  • Assist with cash flow management and budget forecasting
  • Reconciliations and monthly reporting
  • Develop, manage and maintain solid relationships with the internal and external stakeholders
  • General support & organisation of office operations and procedures.
  • Enjoy and foster an upbeat, honest, and ‘young at heart’ culture. *Most important*
  • Rent roll / tenant administration
  • Manage office supplies, stationery, services and kitchen requirements
  • Liaise with IT support where required
  • Mail collection
  • Track income/costs relating to job costings – spreadsheet records (above average spreadsheet skills required)
  • Payroll using MYOB accounting
  • Cash handling, securing of cash and banking
  • Ability to interpret Awards and apply these to the business’s HR needs
  • Other administration tasks as directed by senior management

The successful applicant would have experience in:

  • Developing office systems
  • General commercial awareness
  • Managing debtors/creditors
  • Handling payroll and general HR
  • Team support (no task too small)
  • Experience in commercial property management is an advantage but not essential.

The successful applicant will have a wealth of experience in a similar dual accounts and office management role, also have the following attributes:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with impeccable verbal and written communication abilities
  • Strong attention to detail, good organisation with an excellent ability to multi task
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively within a team environment
  • Have exceptional customer service skills and a positive “can do attitude”
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative in problem solving and in exercising judgement.

Salary $105,000 + Superannuation, depending on experience.
