9 year old local legend Sebastian’s innovative enterprise at Redcliffe Markets.

Introducing Sebastian, our local prodigy and a familiar face at the Redcliffe Markets. At the tender age of nine, Sebastian has captured the attention of many with his innovative enterprise, “The Earth is my Place.” 🌍✨

Sebastian’s journey began at just six years old when he first became aware of the environmental damage inflicted by the fashion industry. This early realisation sparked his ambition to initiate a green revolution. Harnessing recycled plastic bottles and organic cotton, he crafts T-shirts that embody sustainability. His designs, inspired by his own environmentally themed drawings, not only look good but also contribute to a better planet. With each T-shirt sold, Sebastian plants a tree in Africa, addressing the detrimental impacts of traditional clothing production.

His commitment to change has earned him notable accolades; at six, Sebastian clinched the Entrepreneurship category in the Edstart Achievement Award Program. By seven, he continued to shine, winning the Westpac Youth Impact Challenge, further establishing his credentials as a young leader.

Sebastian’s remarkable efforts have recently made him a Finalist in the 2024 Australian Small Business Champion Awards, competing in both the Junior Small Business Champion Entrepreneur and Fashion categories.

We at Goodwill Projects are thrilled to support thousands of micro businesses like Sebastian’s each week.

Come and support Sebastian on his mission to plant 1,000 trees and meet this inspiring young entrepreneur at our Redcliffe Markets. Let’s help him reach his goal and make a significant environmental impact. 🌲
