Telstra Best of Business Awards. Building Communities State Winner: Goodwill Projects – Mark Power

Recognising the tremendous vendors, artisans, farmers, growers, makers, bakers, designers and artists who believe that no idea is too small—and to think big! Small-medium enterprises account for 98% of Australia’s economy. Many start with a simple idea, skill or passion. Goodwill Projects and Field Good aims to turn these ideas, dreams and passions into a reality, while converting spaces into bustling, vibrant, inclusive markets right across Australia. An enormous thank you to our amazing team members, customers and supportive communities who have been instrumental in our growth and impact over 17 years. We’re just getting started.

We’re delighted to express our gratitude to Telstra Small Business who have created such a special platform for small businesses Australia-wide. A very special thanks to the awards team Scott MullalyRebecca TearleSophie Checkley (née Litster) and their CEO of TelstraVicki Brady, for giving us the opportunity to showcase our passion and make a difference in our community. A very special thanks to Barbara Warren for inspiring and motivating everyone involved, the judges Fergus WattsMatt Davis and Suzanne Hopman for their time, guidance and support.

We would also like to congratulate all the other finalists in the Building Communities category for their outstanding contributions to communities nationwide. The finalists included:

Each finalist was a winner of their respective state and competed in the National Round. It was an honour to be among such leading organisations. Our warmest congratulations to the winner of our category, Region Group. Their remarkable efforts to elevate voices in the community and promote quality local news and conversation are truly inspiring.

Finally, to the National award winner Winyama Digital Solutions Pty Ltd. Our sincerest congratulations. An amazing speech reflecting such a terrific initiative to create digital solutions that optimise the management of the Indigenous land estate in Australia.

As always, a massive thank you to our thriving farmers market community, thousands of micro businesses who host incredible stalls at our markets each week and our wonderful team for continuing to make big dreams a reality.
