SOCIAL MEDIA AND CONTENT CREATOR
Full-time | Brisbane | Equal parts creative and commercial – with a portfolio of standout campaigns, someone who can tell a great story, doesn’t judge our 14 tabs open, has 36,000 photos saved “just in case.” and a track record of turning big ideas into real-world results.
About Us:
Goodwill Projects is one of Australia’s largest and most awarded market, venue and event operators. Winners of the 2023 Telstra Best of Business Award – Building Communities and the 2024 Australian Small Business Champion Awards, we have been delivering vibrant, community-focused experiences since 2006.
With a portfolio of 12 high-profile markets, Eat Street Northshore and over 100,000 weekly attendees, we create meaningful spaces where small business thrive and communities connect.
Our company of 45+ team members oversee markets, events, and venue activations, including major lifestyle precincts and seasonal events. We are proudly independent and growing, with a strong reputation for professionalism, creativity and operational excellence.
About the Role:
You’ll be the digital voice behind some of Brisbane’s most iconic farmers markets, Eat Street Northshore, and a calendar full of major events. This isn’t just a “post and ghost” role, you’ll help shape and grow some of the city’s most-loved destinations, one clever caption and reel at a time.
This isn’t your first rodeo. You’ve launched things. You’ve sold out things. You’ve built relationships with designers, councils, stallholders and media. And now you want to do it all with a brand that actually makes people smile on the weekend.
Weekend Involvement:
While this role is primarily weekdays, some of the action happens on weekends — that’s when our markets and events come to life! From time to time, you’ll be jumping in to support key events, soak up the buzz, and be part of what makes our weekends so special. Think incredible food, live music, and the occasional dog in sunglasses — all part of the vibe. Not exactly your average desk job.
What we’re looking for:
- A natural storyteller with strong copywriting skills — someone who can own the voice, tone, and vibe of multiple brands and keep them feeling distinct and consistent.
- Confident using Instagram, TikTok, Meta Business Suite, Canva, and probably a few AI tools you’ve hacked to make life easier.
- Creative thinker with commercial sensibility. You know when to be bold, and when to stick to the brief.
- A cool head under pressure. You’re organised, meet deadlines, and can juggle multiple projects without breaking a sweat.
- 2–3 years of experience in social media, marketing, communications or PR.
- Proven experience creating and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns with measurable ROI.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, you know how to work with influencers, creatives, stallholders, and the occasional overly enthusiastic dog owner.
- Bonus points if you’ve got an eye for design and can whip up on-brand, scroll-worthy content in Canva or Adobe.
- Double Bonus points for experience in precinct, festival, hospitality or FMCG or placemaking activations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own all social channels — including content production, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting.
- Plan and manage email marketing campaigns (you get excited by a high open rate).
- Shoot and edit content (primarily short-form video) in-house and on the go—including styling, scripting, and caption writing.
- Efficiently manage content calendars and projects across multiple brands, ensuring timely delivery within budget.
- Trading your desk chair for event boots every now and then. Be on-site at key events to capture content in real time, support the team.
- Event planning, concept building and organising theming and artwork.
- You will be involved with stallholder and customer communication, EDMs, assisting with customers’ enquiries.
Let’s get started…
Show us your magic! Create a TikTok or Instagram Reel that would fit perfectly on one of our market’s feeds. You can use content from our pages or head down to a market this weekend and capture the real deal. Don’t stress — your video will only be used for application purposes and won’t be shared commercially.
If you’ve read this far and you’re already picturing the perfect reel soundtrack in your head, we want to hear from you.
To Apply:
Please submit your CV and a brief cover letter (be sure to creatively include the words “thunderstorm” somewhere in your response, we won’t miss it). Applications without a cover letter will not be considered.
