Description: Eat Street Northshore is currently seeking a talented Business Development / Sales Manager to join our team.

Overseeing 12 highly popular market locations alongside other major standalone events and the iconic Eat Street Northshore. We’re award-winning (think Telstra Business and Australian Small Business Awards) and incredibly passionate about creating experiences and places people want to be in!
Our function areas at Eat Street Northshore offer a range of unique spaces, including private dining rooms, waterfront lounges, and open-air pavilions, perfect for corporate events, birthdays, and special celebrations. We’re looking for our Functions & Event Sales Manager to elevate Eat Street Northshore’s function offerings, transforming this iconic space into a premier destination for unforgettable events.
Key Responsibilities
The Business Development / Sales Manager responsibilities include:
- Generate and strengthen new sales leads throughout SE QLD.
- Meeting and connecting with our potential clients (virtually and/or onsite dependant on the client)
- Coordinate and host site inspections during the working week, including follow ups with prospective clients.
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales process, addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Creating proposals to suit the client requirements.
- Maintaining up to date information of accounts, sales activity, and revenue before and after events.
- Collaborate with our Marketing and Venue Management teams to ensure successful event execution.
- Provide innovative and creative event ideas to expand on our existing event calendar together with our Marketing team.
- Lastly, provide guidance and contribute toward improving our current website ‘events & parties’ web page.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, specialising in hospitality or corporate sales.
- Strong awareness of corporate or hospitality sales (e.g. function bookings, sourcing potential new clients, support and guide our marketing team to increase awareness of Eat Street NorthShore’s event capability).
- Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating clearly with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong ability to cultivate relationships, build rapport, and convey messages effectively.
- Solution-oriented mindset with a talent for offering creative and refined solutions.
- Naturally warm and approachable demeanour.
- Flexibility to work within ‘parent’ hours OR complement your busy lifestyle.
