QLD's largest stallholder management company, Goodwill Projects oversees up to 1400 micro businesses each weekend. If you've noticed markets change in Brisbane over the past four years, chances are Goodwill Projects played a role. The first in Brisbane to theme & design market spaces - A trip to your local market is always evolving, festive and fresh. We have implemented systems to foster genuine growers, producers, makers, bakers, seamstresses, designers, chefs, musicians, even knife sharpeners! We've placed markets on the map in SE QLD.
Based in Fortitude Valley, we are a young, energetic, innovative team – we want to be a genuine and FUN alternative to shopping centres, bars, and restaurants each weekend.
We aim to create experiences, not spaces, and bring something different and evolving to our local region every week, month, and year!
Our business and role in general –
Our business is a diverse mix of weekend farmers markets, events, and hospitality; this is an exciting time for us and we are looking for a passionate Market Coordinator who is an excellent people person to join our team. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will love early starts on the weekend, able to work outdoors, be physically fit, and LOVE interacting with people from all walks of life.
The right candidate will take ownership of their market.
This is a hands-on role either each Saturday, Sunday , or both. You will also be comfortable managing emails, and phone calls. Looking after vendor inquiries and arranging stall placement each weekend. Plus, so much more!
Age is NO barrier to this role. From 17 - 78** its character, integrity and drive which make a market special week in - week out!

This position is NOT full-time. Contact hours are ONE day per week (either Sat or Sun) , in addition to looking after calls and emails during the week.
This role is able to fit in with study, other part-time work , semi-retirement, or general day-day things. Perfect for someone looking for extra income, or is looking for something to call 'their own' while not working "full time" .
The Position –
Weekend Market Manager
You are a confident, honest people person with a great deal of common-sense. Able to provide direction to others, with a smile and positive attitude - that's 98.8% of this role.
Managing a market is like setting up a little shopping centre each weekend, without a roof and four walls. We connect the power, set up the seating/decoration, prepare the bathrooms, parking area and general presentation.
Our priority is ensuring each customer has a warm, welcoming and fantastic time! We ensure every stallholder & vendor feel's very welcome, is offered every assistance and the market has character.
You would be physically fit, enjoy working outdoors, \and don't mind a bit of sunshine or rain.
You are very proficient with customer service, very comfortable coordinating emails and phone calls during the week - and of course - enjoy an active, vibrant lifestyle which might include a few weekend markets :)
In addition, you notice things like rubbish on the ground, signs which cant be read, bottlenecks on walkways, with your superb attention to detail. This is then actioned through to resolution & completion.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- A minimum of 2 years administration, customer management experience, or retail/ event / hospitality experience is an advantage
- Strong Customer service experience required. This role will involve taking calls and assisting with our customers with a wide range of questions
- Excellent communication
- Have your own reliable transport (on-site car parking available)
- Being able to work in a team, being very comfortable to put ideas across
- Positive, enthusiastic and vibrant people – you will relish this role.
Goodwill Projects also looks after a number of large festivals and events through-out the calendar year, this can form part of the role.
Available to work on Sundays and/or Saturdays.
