Podcast Producer/Editor
We are looking for a skilled Podcast Producer/Editor to join our team. In this role, you’ll manage the entire podcast production process, from pre-recording preparation to post-recording editing and distribution.

About the role:
Managing over 1500 micro businesses each weekend, we are launching a Podcast channel to inspire listeners to break free from conventional career paths and embrace a more fulfilling way of working and living. Through real stories from entrepreneurs, creatives, and innovators, we explore the challenges and triumphs of those who have pursued their passions and created their own success.
This role will manage the entire podcast production process, from pre-recording preparation to post-recording editing and distribution and bring this to life.
You will be onsite 2-3 days for recording sessions and working alongside our Marketing team. Our office is based in Fortitude Valley.

Key Responsibilities:
• Preparation & Research: Research podcast guests and their businesses, create themes and key discussion topics, and prepare fun “Would You Rather” segments. Communicate all relevant details to the host to ensure smooth flow during the episode.
• Pre-Recording: Set up cameras, microphones, and audio equipment, ensure lighting and angles are optimal, check camera storage and battery, and prepare water for guests and the host.
• Recording: Monitor audio and video quality, adjust camera angles during the recording, and ensure uninterrupted recording.
• Post-Recording: Transfer footage and audio to the computer, organize files, and record the host’s introduction. Pack down the studio and prepare equipment for the next recording.
• Long-Form Editing: Edit the full-length podcast, switch between camera angles, enhance audio, and ensure a cohesive narrative. Cut unnecessary parts, add introductions, and finalize the edit for cloud upload.
• Clip Editing: Create 3-5 engaging clips per episode for social media, optimizing for viewer retention. Add captions, cut unnecessary parts, and ensure a strong hook and payoff.
Qualifications:
• Experience with podcast production, video/audio editing, and social media clip creation.
• Proficiency with video editing software and color grading.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage the entire podcast workflow.
• Ability to take charge and offer feedback to host and other production team members
