We’re looking for a social media gun to join our team at Goodwill Projects as our next Social Media Content Creator. If TikTok trends, Instagram Reels, and crafting engaging stories are your playground, this is the role for you!

Goodwill Projects is one of Southeast Queensland’s largest and most dynamic markets, events and venue management businesses.
Beginning as pioneers of Brisbane farmers markets in 2006, we are proud winners of the 2023 Telstra Business Awards – Building Communities and 2024 Australian Small Business Awards. Today we coordinate 12 highly popular markets across Southeast Queensland. We are about creating vibrant and lively spaces people WANT to be in.
About the role:
It’s not often a role is solely focused on conveying food (glorious food), night markets, live music, fashion, accessories, handmade, lifestyle goods, gorgeous farm direct produce – and the amazing people who make it come together. There will be some weekend work involved with the majority of our events and markets being on weekends.
We are looking for a Social Media Content Creator who embodies creativity, captivates their audience, and is a ton of fun to work with! Oh, and you may have to put up with someone who eats sardines in the office (just one, we promise!)
As the Social Media Content Creator, you are digitally minded, bold in your ideas, highly organised and targeted in your execution. Engagement and empowering your message are the building blocks of our collective success. You’ll work closely with the management team to provide creative direction and support for socials, press releases, vendor correspondence, digital content – even podcast ideas! (Our new Podcast launching in Jan 2025).

Key responsibilities –
Keepin’ up to date with the news! (you know what’s happening in the world – and what’s trending!)
Researching social media trends and recommending new content types
Assist in preparing briefs for designers and external partners, particularly when liaising with graphic designers and other creatives.
Develop socially native content for IG/Facebook/LinkedIn/YouTube OR blog/podcast creation **tell us about your skill-set(s) and passion(s)
Provide copywriting support and direction for social posts, EDMs and B2B across the brands.
Manage the content calendars across brands
Manage projects to ensure delivery on time and on budget
We coordinate several special event night markets throughout the year, with peak seasons typically falling in June–July and November–December. As part of this role, you’ll be involved in these exciting events, helping to bring them to life and capturing their vibrant energy for our audiences.
Desired Skills and Experience –
2-3 years previous experience in Marketing Communications, social media, PR or similar – ideally within Retail, Hospitality or high volume FMCG.
University Degree qualified in a relevant field (Marketing, Communications or similar) is preferred but certainly not essential. *Focusing on previous relevant achievements
Be super inquisitive and passionate about social media. Our motto is “we don’t sell” …instead we tell stories! We want to connect and resonate with our growing audience.
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
A high standard of attention to detail
Comfortable working within a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Being agile and adaptable is key to success as we host constantly evolving markets and events.
Excellent interpersonal skills and experience managing relationships. In our case influencers and artists (chefs, bakers, photographers, singers, videographers etc)
Has an interest in farmers markets, night markets, restaurants, bars and food/beverage/travel/dogs (not in that order)
Ability to create clever/appealing/informative and/or creative content using either an iPhone, Adobe Suite, Indesign, Canva OR Other (Not Essential).
Bonus Skills and Experience –
Knowledge in Capcut, Canva and TikTok
An understanding of video/photo shooting & editing
Knowledge of camera and sound recording equipment.

Show us your magic! Create a TikTok or Instagram Reel that would fit perfectly on one of our market’s feeds. You can use content from our pages—or better yet, head down to one of our markets this weekend and capture the vibe! (Don’t worry, your video is for application purposes only and won’t be used commercially.)
Salary: $85,000 – $95,000 (Based on Exp) + Superannuation.
*This is an in-house role. Fortitude Valley based.
